Teresa welcomes everyone back and and hears what everyone has been doing over the holiday period.
This semester we are going to learn about PRAYER. We want to encourage the children to pray for themselves and to learn ways to do that.
So they will learn the ACTS way of prayer over the next few weeks. This week they learnt that ADORATION is worship and what that means.
We will go through CONFESSION (admitting to God our wrongdoing), THANKS (thanking God for all he has done for us) and finally SUPPLICATION (things we ask God for).
Please encourage your children to pray at home too. Help them to put into practice the lessons they are learning at Promiseland. This is their memory verse for the 4 weeks, at least the first half of it, so please help them with this too. There is also a box for them to put in prayers they have written or requests they would like the Promiseland leaders to pray for. It was exciting for the leaders to see how many of the children used this the very first day.
