Ross taught us the memory verse this week which was......"My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you." John 15:12
(Mums & dads...you could see if your kids can remember the verse!)
Some very good face painting took place at the start of Promiseland this Sunday
Our 2 very intent volunteers man the overhead as the band lead us into worship with some great songs.
Everyone was fully involved in singing "One Way! Jesus".....you can see the chorus being sung here ....I am the Way, the Truth and the Life ...we live by faith and not by sight! Yes we do!
Then we received new instructions from Mission Control and remembered what we had learned about Jesus' disciples from last week. Everyone was keen to answer.
Each team then cracked the "code" to find the hidden message from Mission Control. The message was that Matthew was a tax collector and so was unloved by everyone....but Jesus loved him and chose him to be one of his disciples.
Small groups then discussed ways in which we could show love to others as well as completing some "physical challenges" to complete our Promiseland morning.
